Let Us Prey
A remote Scottish police station becomes a pressure cooker of escalating psychological torment as a charismatic stranger, brought in as an apparent hit-and-run victim, subtly infects the officers and detainees with his own dark impulses. ‘Let Us Prey’ isn’t a slasher film, but a claustrophobic, unsettling descent into mutual corruption, where confession bleeds into accusation, and simmering resentments ignite into violence. The film’s power lies in its depiction of collective unraveling – a microcosm of a decaying town mirrored in the crumbling station – rather than focusing on traditional horror tropes. It thrives on a growing sense of helplessness as the boundaries between hunter and prey, sanity and madness, blur within the confined space, culminating in a darkly cathartic explosion of repressed desires and desperate acts.
