## Synopsis

The Grid (2004) is an American and British counterterrorism thriller miniseries created by Tracey Alexander and Ken Friedman and broadcast on TNT. Across six tense episodes of roughly forty-four minutes each, FBI Agent Max Canary (Dylan McDermott) and NSA Agent Maren Jackson (Julianna Margulies) lead a joint transatlantic team chasing a terrorist cell that operates across the globe. Their engine is a race against time: every lead points to a new city and a new deadly plot, and every move by the cell forces the team to rethink what it knows about its enemy and its own allies. Supporting performers including Bernard Hill, Tom Skerritt, James Remar and Jemma Redgrave fill out the intelligence and government ranks around them. The story unfolds as one continuing, serialized narrative with a single arc rather than separate cases, giving the miniseries a driving, paranoid momentum. Its tone is taut, urgent and procedural, with a post 9/11 anxiety about hidden networks and chemical weapons. Fans of 24, Spooks and Sleeper Cell will find the same blend of espionage, global stakes and relentless pacing.
