## Synopsis

Fisk (2021-present) is an Australian sitcom created by Kitty Flanagan and Vincent Sheehan for ABC TV. Kitty Flanagan stars as Helen Tudor-Fisk, a woman whose life has fallen apart and who takes a job at a small suburban firm specialising in wills and probate, assuming that because her clients are dead she will not have to deal with people. Julia Zemiro plays Roz Gruber and Marty Sheargold plays Ray Gruber, the firm's proprietors whose quirks keep pulling Helen back into the human world she hoped to avoid, while Aaron Chen, George Henare, Debra Lawrance and Colette Mann round out the office. The engine of the show is Helen's reluctant attempts to keep her head down amid dull estates, grumpy relatives and small-town bureaucracy, and each episode is built from a parade of ordinary probate headaches. Its tone is dry, deadpan and irreverent, a deliberate anti glamour take on the legal drama that finds warmth in its misfits. Running three seasons across eighteen half-hour episodes, it is one continuing workplace comedy rather than a case-of-the-week procedural. Fans of The Office, Fleabag and Better Call Saul will find resonance in its cringe-prone characters and understated legal humour.
