## Synopsis

Contract (2021) is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language action thriller series created for ZEE5, a single-season run of six episodes of about thirty-one minutes each. Arifin Shuvoo plays Bastard, a young man who accepts a contract to kill the feared gangster Black Ranju, played by Chanchal Chowdhury. His plan grows complicated when Begh, a gritty cop played by Shamol Mawla, enters the picture and begins closing in on both men. Rafiath Rashid Mithila appears as Rumana, and Zakia Bari Mamo plays Meena, adding personal stakes beyond the chase. The engine of the story is a hunt in which every move shifts the balance between killer, target and pursuer, and each episode builds pressure through violent confrontations and shifting alliances. Set in the contemporary gangster underworld of Dhaka, the series moves with brisk, gritty momentum and a dark, tense atmosphere. Its tone is propulsive and harsh, with a focus on loyalty, revenge and the question of who will have the last laugh. Viewers who enjoy hard-edged crime sagas like Sacred Games, The Night Comes for Us and Narcos will find a similar appetite for underworld menace and cat-and-mouse action, here compressed into a compact, self-contained run.
