## Synopsis

Huss (2021) is a Swedish crime drama series created for Viaplay, produced in the nordic noir tradition. Karin Franz Körlof plays Katarina Huss, a rookie police officer in Gothenburg who must learn to cope with the grim everyday realities of the streets while she begins to suspect that her own colleagues are hiding something. Shirin Golchin, Filip Berg and Tove Wiréen appear among the principal cast as the officers and figures around her, and Kajsa Ernst appears as Irene Huss. The engine of the story is Huss's push to understand what her colleagues are concealing, and each episode unfolds as a tightening web of suspicion, loyalty and betrayal inside the police force. The series runs for a single season of five feature-length episodes, each around ninety minutes, giving it the shape of a self-contained limited crime story rather than an open-ended procedural. Set in present-day Gothenburg, the show is grounded and unflinching, with a cold, rain-soaked atmosphere, a tense and brooding tone, and a steady focus on institutional rot. Viewers who enjoy The Bridge, Wallander and The Killing will find the same mix of moral unease and procedural grit.
