## Synopsis

CSI: Vegas (2021-2024) is a US network crime procedural series created by Jason Tracey, Anthony E. Zuiker and Ann Donahue for CBS, a spin-off revival of the long-running CSI franchise. Paula Newsome plays Maxine Roby, the crime lab leader who must hold the team together, alongside Matt Lauria as Joshua Folsom and Mandeep Dhillon as Allie Rajan, while legacy figures William L. Petersen as Gil Grissom and Marg Helgenberger as Catherine Willows return to help. The engine of the show is a forensic team racing to read physical evidence at murder scenes while an existential threat looms over the lab itself, so each episode pairs a fresh homicide with the political and personal pressure of keeping the department alive. The series runs for three seasons of case-of-the-week investigations with serialized threads about the lab's survival. Set in present-day Las Vegas, its mood is brisk and tense, with a glossy neon-lit surface over a grounded, methodical focus on science and procedure. Fans of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Bones and Cold Case will find resonance in its blend of forensic puzzle solving and character loyalty.
