## Synopsis

Love After World Domination (2022) is a Japanese animated superhero romantic comedy series broadcast on AT-X, adapted from a manga and presented as a single 12-episode season of roughly 24-minute episodes. Fudo, leader of the hero squad Gelato 5, voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi, and Desumi, the Death Queen of the evil society Gekko, voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa, meet during a battle of life and death and find themselves in a forbidden romance. Their secret relationship drives the show: they must keep their affair hidden from their respective factions while navigating the everyday awkwardness of loving someone who is supposed to be their enemy. Each episode mixes domestic intimacy, such as couple routines, with the ever-present readiness for combat, and the narration by Fumihiko Tachiki frames the couple's situation with wry commentary. Supporting voices include Kazuyuki Okitsu as Blue Gelato, Nene Hieda as Yellow Gelato, Rina Hidaka as Pink Gelato, and Kana Hanazawa as Kiki Majima. The tone is breezy, playful and affectionate, parodying sentai and henshin hero conventions with bright color-coded squads and over-the-top transformations. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Gurren Lagann will find resonance in its blend of romance and genre spoof.
