## Synopsis

Valeria y Maximiliano (1991-1992) is a Mexican telenovela created by Nora Alemán for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Leticia Calderón plays Valeria Landero, a beautiful, wealthy and strong-willed young woman whose pride and impulsive nature bring trouble to her family. Juan Ferrara plays Maximiliano Riva, who stays by her side as the story unfolds. After she rejects the obsessive Román de la Fuente, played by Marco Muñoz, he becomes fixated on revenge that threatens everything she loves. Arturo Peniche appears as Patricio del Val in the wider cast. The single season runs 95 episodes of roughly 42 minutes each, a classic serialized soap built on romance, betrayal, and ambition inside a wealthy family. Its engine is the push and pull between Valeria's stubbornness and the schemes that surround her, with each episode layering new intrigue onto the central love story. The tone is melodramatic and emotionally heightened, sincere and sometimes sentimental, with a comforting pull toward the promise of true love. Set in contemporary Mexico of the early 1990s, it sits squarely in the Televisa melodrama tradition, and fans of Rubí, La usurpadora and Marimar will find the same blend of rivalry, family scheming and enduring romance.
