## Synopsis

Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight (2025) is a French animated comedy miniseries created by Alain Chabat for Netflix. Adapted from the beloved French comic strip, this five-episode limited series follows the indomitable Gaulish warrior Asterix (voiced by Alain Chabat) and his enormous friend Obelix (voiced by Gilles Lellouche). When their druid Panoramix (voiced by Thierry Lhermitte) forgets how to brew the village's magic potion, the pair must hold off the Roman legions while Caesar (voiced by Laurent Lafitte) plots to exploit an old Gallic law against them. The engine is simple and sprightly: a clever scheme, a sudden shortage of supernatural strength, and a village that must rally without its usual safeguard. Each episode of about half an hour builds around slapstick brawls, sly gags and wordplay that lands for adults and children alike. The tone is cheerful and irreverent, poking fun at imperial pomp with playful anachronism while keeping a warm bond between the characters at its heart. Set in ancient Gaul under Roman occupation, the series has the bright, bustling feel of a village festival. Fans of Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra and the Tintin adaptations will find the same comic energy here.
