## Synopsis

Miami Ink (2005-2008) is an American reality docuseries created for TLC. The show follows a close circle of tattoo artists, led by Ami James, Chris Núñez, Darren Brass, Chris Garver, Yoji Harada and Kat Von D, who learned their craft together as apprentices in South Beach before scattering to Los Angeles and New York to build renowned reputations with celebrity clientele. The engine of the series is their return to Miami to open a shared tattoo shop, where they juggle demanding custom work, waiting clients, and the friction of living and running a business together while passing their traditions to new apprentices. Across four seasons and roughly eighty episodes, it is a loose, character-driven unscripted format rather than a single continuing plot, following one session and one client at a time. Its tone is breezy and personable, with a lively South Beach backdrop and a warm camaraderie among the artists. Fans of Inked, Tattoo Nightmares and Jersey Shore will find a similar blend of craft, personality and seaside Florida flavor.
