## Synopsis

Run the World (2021-2023) is a American dramedy series created by Leigh Davenport for STARZ. Following a group of Black women who work, live, and play together in Harlem, the show follows Whitney Green (Amber Stevens West), Renee Ross (Bresha Webb), and Sondi Hill (Corbin Reid) as they pursue ambitious goals and aim for nothing less than world domination. Their friendship and professional drive form the engine of each episode, as personal setbacks, romantic entanglements, and career gambits push them to keep striving while leaning on one another. Ola Adeyemo (Tosin Morohunfola) and Matthew Powell (Stephen Bishop) add further tension and warmth to the group's orbit. The series runs two seasons of eight episodes each in a serialized, character-driven format, set in the present-day neighborhood of Harlem. Its tone is sharp, breezy, and frank, mixing comedy with grounded drama and adult candor. Fans of Insecure, Girlfriends, and Scandal will find resonance in its portrait of ambitious women, urban community, and shared ambition. The show was canceled after its second season, leaving its story unfinished.
