## Synopsis

My Dress-Up Darling (2022-2025) is a Japanese animated slice of life romantic comedy series produced by CloverWorks and aired on Gunma TV, TOKYO MX, BS11 and Tochigi TV, adapted from the manga by Shinichi Fukuda. Wakana Gojo, voiced by Shoya Ishige, is a quiet high school boy who has spent years perfecting the craft of traditional Hina doll making, which has left him isolated from his classmates. Marin Kitagawa, voiced by Hina Suguta, is a outgoing and popular classmate who lives in a very different social world until she shares an unexpected secret with him. The engine of the series is their awkward, gradually warming friendship as the two discover they can help each other, with each episode built around everyday school life, craft projects and the growing comfort between them. The show spans a single 24-episode season, a self-contained and easygoing run rather than a plot-heavy saga. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, it balances light comedy with sincere moments about passion, self-confidence and belonging. Its tone is warm, breezy and cozy, with a gentle romantic pull. Fans of Horimiya, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Barakamon will find resonance in its heartfelt school romance and craft-driven character growth.
