## Synopsis

Intimacy (2022) is a Spanish limited series created by Laura Sarmiento and Verónica Fernández for Netflix. Its eight fifty-minute episodes follow Malen (Itziar Ituño), a rising politician whose career is threatened when a surreptitiously recorded video of her sex life is leaked to the public. Her sister Bego (Patricia López Arnaiz), along with Ane (Verónica Echegui) and Alicia (Ana Wagener), supports her as the scandal spreads through the press and the wider community, while Miren (Emma Suárez) and others circulate around the fallout. The engine of the series is the struggle to protect a reputation and a private life once both have been exposed, paired with the slow hunt for who made and leaked the footage. Each episode tightens the pressure, moving between personal humiliation, tense confrontations and the unanswered question of the leak's source. The tone is tense, intimate and quietly harrowing, with a grounded contemporary Spanish setting. Fans of The Good Wife and Black Mirror will find resonance in its study of privacy, reputation and public judgment, and the series suits viewers who enjoy Money Heist-style Spanish prestige thrillers.
