## Synopsis

Daniel Boone (1964-1970) is an American action-adventure western series created by Borden Chase for NBC and produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Fess Parker plays the title frontiersman, a folk hero who guides settlers, faces hostile wildlife and rival men through the Kentucky wilderness of the late 1700s. Ed Ames co-stars as Mingo, Boone's Cherokee friend, during the first four seasons, while Patricia Blair plays Rebecca Boone and Darby Hinton plays Israel Boone, with Veronica Cartwright as Jemima Boone in many episodes. Dal McKennon adds warmth as the innkeeper Cincinnatus. Each hour is largely self-contained, built around a frontier problem such as a trek, a rescue, a standoff with trappers or a threat to a fledgling settlement, so viewers can dip in at any point.
