## Synopsis

Florida Man (2023) is a American dramedy miniseries created by Donald Todd for Netflix. Disgraced cop Mike Valentine (Edgar Ramírez) is deep in debt when he is forced to return to his home state of Florida for a shady mission. The job quickly pulls him into a wild and deadly treasure hunt, with the brittle ex-cop caught between old associates and dangerous new rivals. Anthony LaPaglia plays Sonny Valentine, adding family friction to the chaos, while Abbey Lee brings a volatile edge as Delly West. The seven-episode, one-season limited run is built around a single continuing investigation rather than standalone cases, with each episode tightening the search and raising the body count. Set in present-day Florida, the show uses humid, sun-bleached landscapes and small-town grit to frame its scheming characters. Its tone is sardonic and breezy, with bleak undertones and moments of genuine violence. Fans of Burn Notice, Bad Monkey and Fargo will find resonance in its blend of crime, mystery and darkly comic misadventure.
