## Synopsis

Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness (2022) is an Indian crime drama series created by Rajesh Mapuskar and Sameer Nair for Disney+ Hotstar. Set in the Special Crimes Unit of the Mumbai Police, it follows DCP Rudraveer Singh (Ajay Devgn), one of the sharpest minds in the force yet kept under the system's radar. Around him gravitate Dr. Aliyah Choksi (Raashii Khanna) and Shaila Addagatla (Esha Deol), with Commissioner Deepali Handa (Ashwini Kalsekar) and Jt. CP Raman Acharya (Ashish Vidhyarthi) representing the bureaucracy that resists him. Across a single six-episode season of roughly fifty minutes each, the engine is a race against shifting loyalties: Rudra must untangle a dangerous case while navigating political pressure, buried motives and colleagues who may not be what they seem. The atmosphere is tense, gritty and morally heavy, grounded in the crowded, humid streets of Mumbai. Fans of Sacred Games, Special Ops and Mirzapur will find resonance in its blend of dark urban crime, institutional corruption and a flawed investigator standing against the odds.
