## Synopsis

Godzilla: The Series (1998-2000) is an American animated kaiju adventure series created by Jeff Kline and Richard Raynis, produced for FOX and Fox Kids. Picking up where the blockbuster motion picture left off, the show follows Nick Tatopoulos (voiced by Ian Ziering), a scientist who leads a small team including Elsie Chapman (voiced by Charity James), Monique DuPre (voiced by Brigitte Bako) and Randy Hernandez (voiced by Rino Romano) against a new generation of giant monsters threatening humanity. Each episode is built around fast-paced battles, quick rescues and monster encounters that drive the team forward across two seasons and thirty-eight episodes. Its tone is brisk, colorful and upbeat, with the pulpy spectacle of the kaiju tradition kept accessible for younger viewers. The series is a family-friendly action cartoon, and fans of Gargoyles and Dinosaucers will find similar monster-driven adventure and team-based heroics. The show was canceled, leaving its larger story unfinished.
