## Synopsis

Little Demon (2022) is a American adult animated comedy series created by Kieran Valla, Seth Kirschner and Darcy Fowler for FXX. Laura Feinberg (voiced by Aubrey Plaza) is a reluctant mother who, thirteen years after being impregnated by Satan, tries to give her Antichrist daughter Chrissy (voiced by Lucy DeVito) an ordinary childhood in suburban Delaware. Danny DeVito voices Satan himself, who wants custody of his daughter's soul and keeps pushing into their lives. The engine is simple and funny: Laura wants a normal domestic routine, and every errand, school problem or neighborhood obligation is interrupted by monstrous forces and infernal scheming. Each ten-episode season of roughly twenty-five-minute episodes plays as a serialized story in which the custody war escalates. The tone is profane, deadpan and irreverent, with dark supernatural horror treated as bickering household friction. It is a crude, irreverent take on the apocalyptic sitcom, in the vein of Big Mouth and Solar Opposites, with a dash of the darker absurdity found in The Good Place. Fans of adult animated comedy who enjoy transgressive family dynamics will find it a sharp, short ride.
