## Synopsis

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (2023) is an Australian literary mystery miniseries created by Sarah Lambert for Prime Video, adapted from a novel. Sigourney Weaver plays June Hart, a formidable matriarch who raises her orphaned granddaughter on a remote flower farm after a fire kills Alice's parents. Alycia Debnam-Carey plays the adult Alice, while Alyla Browne plays young Alice, whose childhood is marked by secrets within secrets. Years later, an unearthed betrayal pushes Alice to confront the past she has tried to leave behind, and the story moves between her childhood and her present as she pieces together what her family hid. Across seven one-hour episodes, the drama builds through quiet revelations, unspoken grief, and the tension between loyalty and truth. Its atmosphere is melancholic and lush, with an enchanted, almost dreamlike pastoral setting that contrasts with the sorrow beneath. Fans of Mystic River, Picnic at Hanging Rock and Olivia Foxworth will find resonance in its gothic family mystery and its emphasis on inherited silence. The limited series offers a patient, emotionally layered watch for adult viewers who enjoy character-driven puzzles.
