## Synopsis

Batman: Caped Crusader (2024-present) is an American adult animated superhero series created by Bruce Timm for Prime Video. Set in a stylized retro Gotham City where corrupt officials outnumber honest ones and criminals run loose, it follows socialite Bruce Wayne (voiced by Hamish Linklater), whose tragedy-forged one-man crusade as the Batman draws unexpected allies inside the police department and city hall. Barbara Gordon (Krystal Joy Brown) and Commissioner Gordon (Eric Morgan Stuart) anchor the investigations, while Renee Montoya (Michelle C. Bonilla) and Clayface, Catwoman and the Penguin move through the case-driven stories that give the show its shape. Each episode delivers a crime investigation with mystery elements, and the season-long arc follows how a vigilante's heroics spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications. The mood is brooding and noir-tinged with stylized action and a sense of constant civic dread, placing it in the lineage of Batman: The Animated Series and gritty crime dramas such as Gotham and The Boys. Fans of classic DC animation and dark urban crime will find resonance here. The series is ongoing across two seasons of ten episodes each.
