## Synopsis

Ghosts (2021-present) is an American network sitcom created by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman for CBS, adapted from the British series of the same name. Samantha Arondekar (Rose McIver) and her husband Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) throw caution to the wind by converting a recently inherited country estate into a bed-and-breakfast, despite the place falling apart around them. Their plans collapse further when they discover that the house is inhabited by spirits of previous residents, and only Samantha can see and hear them. The engine of each episode is the awkward friction between living guests and a household of ghosts who still want things: Isaac Higgintoot (Brandon Scott Jones), Alberta Haynes (Danielle Pinnock), and Hetty Woodstone (Rebecca Wisocky) each pursue their own desires, while the couple struggles to keep the business afloat. The show is built as a standalone case-of-the-week style comedy with an evolving ensemble of spirits drawn from different centuries, delivered as a brisk 22-minute multi-camera-style sitcom across six seasons. Its tone is breezy, sarcastic and warm, with a gentle absurdism that lands jokes about death and history. Fans of Bewitched, The Good Place and the UK Ghosts will find resonance in its cozy supernatural household humor.
