## Synopsis

Sex/Life (2021-2023) is an American streaming drama series created by Stacy Rukeyser for Netflix, adapted from a novel. Sarah Shahi plays Billie Connelly, a suburban wife and mother whose daring sexual past collides with her married present when Brad Simon (Adam Demos), a bad-boy ex she cannot stop fantasizing about, crashes back into her life. Mike Vogel plays her husband Cooper Connelly, whose steady marriage becomes the counterweight to her restless desire. The engine of the series is Billie's push and pull between domestic security and the thrill of an old obsession, playing out through dinner parties, school runs, and a sprawling circle of friends where every affair threatens to become public. Told across two seasons and fourteen episodes, the show moves through a continuing story rather than standalone cases, with flashbacks to earlier romantic encounters. Its tone is steamy, glossy, and emotionally tangled, foregrounding sexual desire, marital strain, and the cost of impulsive choices. Viewers who enjoy the suburban intrigue of Desperate Housewives or the erotic tension of Fifty Shades of Grey will find familiar pleasures here, though the characters' shifting motivations have divided audiences. The series was canceled before its story was resolved.
