## Synopsis

The Fantastic Journey (1977) is an American science fiction adventure series created by Bruce Lansbury for NBC. Shipwrecked modern travelers Scott Jordan (Ike Eisenmann) and Dr. Fred Walters (Carl Franklin) are drawn into a strange journey alongside Varian (Jared Martin) and Liana (Katie Saylor), companions who seem to know more than they reveal. Their goal is simple and urgent: get back home while surviving one uncharted island or otherworldly place after another. Each hour-long episode is largely self-contained, built around a new locale, a new threat, and a new encounter that tests the group's loyalty and ingenuity. The series is a single season of ten episodes, a short-lived network run that was canceled before its story could fully develop. Its tone is wondrous and earnest, with a gentle, nostalgic flavor typical of 1970s television adventure. Fans of Lost in Space, Star Trek and The Twilight Zone will find resonance in its blend of episodic peril, mysterious guidance, and the hopeful pull toward home.
