## Synopsis

Fired on Mars (2023) is an American adult animated comedy series created by Nate Sherman and Nick Vokey for HBO Max, a single-season run of eight short episodes. Graphic designer Jeff Cooper (voiced by Luke Wilson) takes a one-way trip to the Red Planet, only to find himself adrift when his bosses unceremoniously eliminate his role. Darren (voiced by Tim Heidecker) and Reagan (voiced by Pamela Adlon) are among the corporate figures whose petty ambitions and dry indifference make life on the outpost more uncomfortable. The engine of the show is Jeff's attempt to make sense of his exile while bureaucratic nonsense piles up around him, with each episode built from brisk, deadpan office-style exchanges and absurd workplace misadventures. Set on a near-future Mars colony, the series plays out in sterile corridors and cramped quarters where corporate jargon collides with the isolation of deep space. Its tone is dry, sardonic and quietly melancholy, with a satirical edge toward tech company culture. Fans of Rick and Morty, The Office and Corporate will find resonance in its blend of workplace humor and science fiction absurdity.
