## Synopsis

Sunflower (2021-2024) is an Indian crime comedy series created by Vikas Bahl for ZEE5. When Mr. Kapoor is found dead in the Sunflower housing society, the police arrive and begin interrogating the building's eccentric residents, turning every neighbour into a possible suspect. Sunil Grover plays Sonu Singh, a central figure drawn into the investigation, while Ranvir Shorey plays Inspector S. Digendra, who leads the questioning, and Girish Kulkarni appears as Sub Inspector Chetan Tambe. Ashish Vidhyarthi as Dilip Iyer and Sonal Jha as Mrs. Iyer add to the crowded cast of neighbours whose secrets and quarrels surface one by one. The engine of the show is the puzzle of who killed Kapoor and why, with each episode unpeeling another layer of petty grudges and hidden motives within a close-knit building. The series runs two seasons across sixteen episodes of roughly thirty-nine minutes each, told as one continuing investigation rather than separate cases. Its tone is wry and breezy, with the humour arising from the collision of quirky personalities under pressure. Set in a contemporary Indian city, it works as a cozy whodunit for viewers who enjoy comic ensemble mysteries in the vein of Only Murders in the Building and Knives Out.
