## Synopsis

The Veil is a South Korean spy thriller created by Park Seok-ho for MBC, a single season of twelve roughly seventy-minute episodes. Namkoong Min plays Han Ji-hyuk, a National Intelligence Service agent who vanishes for a year and then returns to join a new team while searching for his lost past. The engine of the show is a man who cannot trust the agency that employs him, pursuing answers about his own disappearance while colleagues and superiors weigh their loyalties. Each episode layers suspicion, reversals and red herrings onto an investigation that moves steadily toward a culprit. The series is built as a single continuing conspiracy, with the mystery of Han's past unfolding across the whole run. Its tone is tense and paranoid, with action sequences punctuating long stretches of quiet interrogation and watchful dialogue. Viewers who enjoy layered espionage, morally compromised characters and slow-building institutional dread will find much to admire in its brooding atmosphere and propulsive plotting.
