## Synopsis

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch (2025-present) is a French and American animated espionage thriller series created by Derek Kolstad for Netflix. Sam Fisher, voiced by Liev Schreiber, is a near-mythic covert operative pulled back into action after years in the shadows. He must help a new recruit, Zinnia McKenna (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), unravel a global conspiracy that moves across European capitals and government back rooms. Principal voice cast also includes Bella Dayne as Freya Niemeyer and Janet Varney as Anna Grimsdóttir. The engine of the show is covert infiltration: each episode builds tension through surveillance, sabotage, and tense handoffs between agents who cannot fully trust one another. The series unfolds as one continuing story across eight episodes of roughly twenty-four minutes each, a compact single season with a serialized arc. Set in a near-future Europe shaped by geopolitics, it carries a sinister, shadowy atmosphere with ambiguous loyalties and a hard, grounded edge. Its violence and strong language reflect its TV-MA rating. Fans of Archer, Castlevania, and Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan will find resonance in its mix of adult animation, espionage, and moral unease.
