## Synopsis

The Time It Takes (2021) is a Spanish dramedy miniseries created by Inés Pintor, Nadia de Santiago and Pablo Santidrián for Netflix. Nadia de Santiago plays Lina, who after many years with Álvaro Cervantes's Nico finds the relationship over and has to rebuild an ordinary daily life around the absence. The engine here is quiet and personal: Lina wants to stop thinking about him, and the obstacles are her own habits, her friends' well-meaning advice and the small reminders that surface in ordinary days. The ten short episodes, each about thirteen minutes, follow her attempts at a new routine and a new self rather than a single plot climax. The result is a single continuing story told as a limited series of ten episodes. Its register is wry and tender, with comic observation sitting beside real heartache, and the tone stays rooted in contemporary Spanish city life. Fans of Fleabag, Girls and Normal People will find resonance in its intimate, anti-romantic take on love ending and the slow work of moving on. It is adult in language and sexual frankness, and suits viewers who want a short, honest breakup story.
