## Synopsis

Sasaki and Miyano (2022) is a Japanese animated slice of life romance series created for TOKYO MX and produced by Studio Deen. The single-season run contains twelve half-hour episodes that follow bashful Miyano, voiced by Soma Saito, as he meets brash Sasaki, voiced by Yusuke Shirai, and begins a tentative relationship. Supporting classmates voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Yuki Ono and Ryohei Arai orbit the pair, adding everyday school comedy and small social complications. The engine of the show is the gap between the glossy expectations of a teen romance manga and the awkward, uncertain feelings of real adolescence, expressed through ordinary school days, quiet confessions and misread signals. Episodes move at an easygoing pace, built from classroom moments, friendship scenes and the nervous rhythms of first love. The atmosphere is warm, sincere and gently comic, with an emotional register that leans toward tender and hopeful. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, it is a boys' love story rooted in shoujo traditions. Fans of Horimiya, Your Lie in April and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find resonance in its blend of tender romance and comic embarrassment.
