## Synopsis

Super Crooks (2021) is a Japanese adult animated superhero heist series created for Netflix, produced by the anime studio BONES and based on the graphic novel line from Millarworld. Johnny Bolt (voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda) assembles a crew of ragtag supervillains, including Kasey (Maaya Sakamoto) and Carmine (Yasushi Kimura), for one final job against a ruthless super-powered crime boss. The engine is the crew itself: each member carries a dangerous and unreliable power, and every step of the plan threatens to fall apart as personal pride, old grudges and street-level violence press in. The single season of thirteen roughly twenty-four minute episodes moves briskly, building a continuing heist arc rather than standalone cases. The setting is a gritty modern city where powered criminals trade favors and violence is an everyday tool. The tone mixes kinetic action with sardonic humor and a grounded sense of consequence, with a fast, irreverent edge. Fans of The Boys, Kaiju No. 8 and Ocean's Eleven will find resonance in its blend of superpowered mayhem, criminal scheming and antihero camaraderie.
