## Synopsis

The Witch's Diner (2021) is a South Korean fantasy drama miniseries created by Lee Young-sook for TVING, a tvN-style k-drama told in eight episodes of about forty-three minutes each. After her carefully built life falls apart, Jo Hee-ra (Song Ji-hyo) joins a wish-granting sorceress to run a magical diner in which customers come in with longing and leave with what they asked for. The engine of the show is simple and personal: each client's wish brings a consequence, and Jo Hee-ra must decide how much of her own future she is willing to trade to keep the diner running. Supporting roles include Nam Ji-hyun as Jeong Jin, Chae Jong-hyeop as Lee Gil-yong, and Ha Do-kwon as CEO Oh, with So Hee-jung and Son Kwang-eop adding warmth to the household scenes. Episodes follow a client-of-the-week structure threaded with flashbacks that reveal the heroine's history. Set in contemporary Seoul, the series balances whimsy with melancholy, leaning on healing, mother daughter bonds and quiet redemption. Viewers who enjoy Hotel Del Luna and Goblin will find a similar mix of supernatural service and emotional repair, though this is a gentler, more modest production that rewards patience.
