## Synopsis

Welcome to Earth (2021) is an American nature docuseries created for Disney+ and produced with National Geographic. Hosted by Will Smith, whose infectious curiosity and wonder anchor every episode, the six-episode miniseries follows National Geographic explorers as they travel to remote corners of the world. Fellow field figures appear as principal presenters, including polar expeditionist Dwayne Fields and mountaineer Erik Weihenmayer, alongside cast members Cody Richardson and Diva Amon. Each episode of this single-season, roughly 44-minute run is built around the weirdest, most unusual and thrilling spectacles the planet produces, with the crew getting close to dangerous and extraordinary natural events rather than observing from a distance. The engine is discovery itself: a host who is genuinely astonished, and experts who know the terrain well enough to make the risk feel real. The tone is breezy, joyful and awe-filled, accessible to families while still delivering spectacle with real scale. Fans of Planet Earth II, Our Planet and Life Below Zero will find similar appeal in the blend of striking landscapes, animal behavior and adventurous travel. Its rhythm is brisk and accessible, making it an easy watch for viewers who want wonder without complexity or heavy stakes.
