## Synopsis

Trigger Point (2022-present) is a British crime drama series created by Daniel Brierley for ITV1. Centred on London's bomb disposal experts, the series follows Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) and her unit as they face explosive devices threatening the city. Principal characters include Inspector Lee Robins (Cal MacAninch), DI Thom Youngblood (Mark Stanley), DI Samira Desai (Manjinder Virk) and Danny Markham (Eric Shango), with Commander John Francis (Julian Ovenden) overseeing operations. Each episode is built around a new device, a race against time and the personal risks of those who handle it, while the larger arcs deal with the pressures of the job on the people doing it. The series runs across four seasons of six episodes each, presenting a continuing story rather than isolated cases. Its tone is tense and grounded, combining procedural detail with emotional strain and moments of dread. Set in present-day London, the show has a gritty realism that appeals to fans of Bodyguard, Line of Duty and The Hurt Locker. Its mounting pressure and uncompromising atmosphere make it a stressful but absorbing watch for viewers who like crime dramas with real stakes.
