## Synopsis

Gone for Good (2021) is a French crime thriller limited series created by David Elkaïm and Vincent Poymiro for Netflix. Guillaume Lucchesi (Finnegan Oldfield) is a man who has spent a decade recovering from losing two people he loved, only to find himself pulled into another dizzying mystery when his girlfriend Sonia (Garance Marillier) vanishes. Alongside Fred (Nicolas Duvauchelle), Da Costa (Guillaume Gouix) and Judith (Nailia Harzoune), he pushes through a web of half-truths, buried history and shifting alliances, as each new discovery forces him to question the people he has trusted most. The engine is simple and gripping: a wounded man searching for answers while the ground beneath him keeps moving. Across five fifty-minute episodes the story unfolds as one continuous investigation with a steady, mounting dread. The mood is melancholic and tense, with grief coloring every scene and a constant undercurrent of betrayal. Fans of The Killing, The Missing and Broadchurch will find resonance in its emotional weight and its patient, character-driven suspense. Told with a compact, deliberate pace, it rewards close attention and suits viewers who want a moody, self-contained thriller to finish in a single sitting.
