## Synopsis

Masameer County (2021-2023) is a Saudi adult animated comedy series created by Abdulaziz Almuzaini and Malik Nejer for Netflix. Voiced by Abdulaziz Alshehri as Bandar and Malik Nejer as Trad, the series follows a rowdy circle of friends whose schemes keep spiraling into trouble. Across two seasons and fourteen episodes of roughly twenty-two minutes each, the Masameer gang gets dragged into a global media war, a long-standing tribal feud, and a health craze that goes too far. Each episode is built around a self-contained misadventure, with the humor coming from the friends' clashing personalities, quick banter and escalating absurdity. Live-action cast members Mazroa Al-Mazroa, Lama Alfard and others round out the ensemble. The show is set in a changing contemporary Saudi Arabia, and its satire of new trends, social pressure and old traditions gives the comedy a sharp local edge. The tone is irreverent, breezy and playful, with moments of grit and bluntness typical of adult animation. Fans of South Park and Bojack Horseman will find a similar appetite for irreverent social satire, while viewers of Big Mouth will recognize the adult animated format. It is a lively, unpretentious watch for anyone curious about Arabic-language animation.
