## Synopsis

Blue Birthday (2021) is a South Korean science fiction romance series created for NAVER TV, YouTube and V LIVE, a single-season run of sixteen episodes produced by Playlist Studio. Oh Ha-rin (YERI) is a high school student who has been close to Ji Seo-jun (Yang Hong-seok) since they were eight years old. When he dies by suicide on her birthday, she begins receiving mysterious photographs that pull her back into the past, and she tries to understand what went wrong and whether the day can be changed. Supporting principal roles are played by Lee Sang-jun as Cha Eun-seong, Kim Gyeol-yu as Do Su-jin and Ju Hyeon as Kim Ui-yeong, whose lives tangle with Ha-rin's own. Each episode moves between the present and earlier moments, building a slow mystery out of small school-life details, friendships and regret. The show is a tender, melancholic k-drama that foregrounds longing, memory and the ache of unfinished first love rather than spectacle. Its tone is wistful and sorrowful, with a quietly mysterious atmosphere. Fans of Life Is Strange, Your Name and Dark Matter will find resonance in its blend of time travel, youthful romance and grief.
