## Synopsis

Yumi's Cells is a South Korean slice of life romantic comedy-drama created for tvN and TVING and adapted from a webtoon. Kim Go-eun plays Kim Yu-mi, a thirty-year-old office worker who finds it hard to put her feelings into words. The show follows her through the brain cells in her head, which narrate and react to every decision she makes. Her romantic life, her career and her closest friendships form the heart of the story, and the obstacles are mostly her own hesitation and the messy social rhythms of a Seoul workplace. Rather than a single overarching mystery, each episode is built from everyday moments, office politics, friendship and quiet personal growth. The tone is warm, witty and gently self-aware, with a comic inner-monologue style that lets viewers feel both amused and tender. Fans of Extraordinary You and Sex and the City will find resonance in its relatable heroine, its romance and its affectionate look at modern city life.
