## Synopsis

Open Your Eyes (2021) is a Polish Netflix science fiction mystery series, based on a novel, created for Netflix and adapted from the book Otwórz oczy. Julka (Maria Wawreniuk), a teenager left with amnesia after a tragic accident, tries to rebuild her life at a memory disorders center, where a clinic doctor and fellow patients including Adam (Ignacy Liss) and Piotr (Marcin Czarnik) surround her with care. As she recovers, her unconventional treatment begins to feel wrong, and each episode peels back another layer of doubt about what the staff are doing and what her recovering mind is being shown. The series runs for six episodes of roughly 48 minutes, a single limited season built as one continuing story where order matters. Its look is clinical and cool, with a haunting tension between sterile corridors and the dreamlike fragments of Julka's past. The tone stays eerie, intimate and uneasy, with a melancholic undercurrent about identity and trust. Fans of Dark, The OA and Dark Matter will find resonance in its patient mystery and its questions about memory and reality.
