## Synopsis

Aharen-san Wa Hakarenai (2022-2025) is a Japanese anime slice of life comedy produced by FelixFilm and aired on MBS, TBS and TOKYO MX, adapted from a manga and running two seasons totalling 24 episodes. Its socially awkward protagonist Reina Aharen (voiced by Inori Minase) has no sense of personal distance, swinging between clinging too close and holding people too far away. When classmate Raido, voiced by Takuma Terashima's counterpart Nui, picks up an eraser she has dropped, she decides on the spot that they are best friends, and the engine of each episode is her unshakable determination to bond with him through ordinary school life. Studying sessions, arcade trips and shared lunches become small battles of social misreading, while supporting classmates voiced by Mao Ichimichi and Tomori Kusunoki add warmth and gentle chaos. The tone is light, earnest and quietly sweet, with awkward comedy that grows into affection. Fans of Komi Can't Communicate and Bocchi the Rock will find resonance in its deadpan embarrassment, its school setting and its patient interest in how friendship blossoms in unlikely places. Set in contemporary Japanese high school life, it is a short, easygoing watch built for relaxed evenings.
