## Synopsis

Bad Monkey (2024-present) is an American crime comedy series created by Bill Lawrence and produced for Apple TV. Vince Vaughn plays Andrew Yancy, a suspended Miami detective demoted to restaurant inspector in the Florida Keys, who is pulled into a tangle of greed and corruption after a tourist fishing off the coast hauls up a severed arm. Alongside him are Natalie Martinez as Dr. Rosa Campensino, a medical examiner tangled in the case, and Michelle Monaghan as Bonnie Witt, whose own secrets complicate the investigation. Yancy's engine is simple and stubborn: he wants to prove that the death is murder, and every inspection stop, dock conversation and fishing-village lead pushes him deeper into a world of smugglers and rich locals who would rather the body stay buried. Each episode mixes a murder thread with the ordinary chores of a food inspector, giving the show a loose case-of-the-week shape within one continuing season. Set in a sun-bleached Florida resort landscape, the series blends wry, sardonic humor with a tropical noir atmosphere, where paradise hides rot beneath the surface. Fans of Burn Notice, Barry and Fargo will find resonance in its deadpan mood and in its fish-out-of-water detective hero.
