## Synopsis

Wedding Season (2022) is a British streaming mystery thriller series created for Disney+. Katie (Rosa Salazar) and Stefan (Gavin Drea) fall for each other at a wedding and begin an affair even though Katie is already engaged. Two months later, at Katie's own wedding, her new husband and his entire family are murdered, and the two lovers end up blaming each other as the search for the truth begins. The engine of the story is a tangle of secrets, shifting alliances and suspicion among people who all had reason to be near the crime, and the eight half-hour episodes keep pulling the audience back into who knew what and when. Principal supporting cast includes Jamie Michie as Donahue and Jade Harrison as Metts, with Omar Baroud, Callie Cooke, Bhav Joshi and Ioanna Kimbook filling out the circle of suspects. Presented as a single season, the series is a tight, self-contained whodunit with a glossy, tense, romantic register rather than a sprawling saga. Set in the present day in Britain, it unfolds in ordinary social settings, such as weddings, homes and workplaces, where polished surfaces hide resentment and fear. Fans of Big Little Lies, The Affair and Trigger Point will find resonance in its blend of romance, betrayal and psychological suspense.
