## Synopsis

Hammer and Bolter (2021-2025) is a British animated anthology series created for Warhammer TV, drawn from the Warhammer tabletop universe and produced with Games Workshop. Rather than following one hero, it moves from story to story across a single season of sixteen short episodes, each about twenty minutes long, with a rotating cast of voice performers including Greg Jones as the warlord Abaddon the Despoiler, Devora Wilde as Singri, and Michael Geary as Renzor, a commissar. Each episode drops viewers into a different corner of the grim far-future setting, where soldiers, zealots, space marines and cultists fight over faith, loyalty and survival. The engine of each story is a fresh faction conflict, so the emotional register shifts with every entry, moving between grim combat, bleak religious devotion and dark wit. Its tone is harsh, gothic and unflinching, with a visual language drawn from heavy armour, ritual and war. Fans of Love, Death and Robots and Black Mirror will find resonance in its adult animated vignettes and bleak speculative edge, though its close ties to the Warhammer lore make it most rewarding for those already familiar with the universe.
