## Synopsis

The Ingenuity of the Househusband (2021) is a Japanese live-action comedy miniseries created for Netflix, adapted from a manga. Its protagonist is Kenjiro Tsuda, playing a hardened, tough-looking man who turns out to have a surprising knack for housework. Across ten short episodes of roughly six minutes each, he tackles everyday household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping with meticulous, almost ceremonial care, and the comedy comes from the gap between his imposing appearance and his earnest devotion to small domestic tasks. Each vignette is self-contained, so the series works as a single-season run of quick sketches rather than a continuing plot. The tone is light, deadpan, and affectionate, with the humor resting on precise timing and the seriousness with which mundane routines are performed. Fans of absurd sketch comedy and quirky domestic comedies such as Bob's Burgers and Flight of the Conchords will find a similar appeal. The show is brief and gentle, suited to a quick laugh and easy viewing.
