## Synopsis

Money Heist: From Tokyo to Berlin (2021) is a Spanish Netflix making-of documentary miniseries connected to the crime drama Money Heist. Across two episodes of roughly 53 minutes each, the filmmakers and actors behind the show reflect on the emotional and artistic process of bringing its characters to the screen. Cast members appearing as themselves include Úrsula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Pedro Alonso, Jesús Colmenar, Javier Gómez Santander, Esther Martínez Lobato, Alba Flores, Jaime Lorente and Esther Acebo, who talk about characters such as Tokyo and the Professor. The engine of the piece is candid testimony: performers describe the pressures, affections and creative choices behind their roles rather than following a fictional plot. Its shape is a single short season that works as an extended companion piece instead of a scripted story. The tone is intimate, reflective and warm, with an earnest focus on craft and feeling. Fans of behind the scenes documentaries and of the original heist saga will find resonance in its candid interviews and emotional honesty, and viewers curious about how Spanish prestige streaming dramas are made will find it especially rewarding.
