## Synopsis

Scaredy Cats (2021) is an American children's fantasy comedy series created by Anna McRoberts for Netflix. On her twelfth birthday, Willa Ward (Sophia Reid-Gantzert) inherits a charm necklace that belonged to her mother, a witch, and soon learns that two wicked witches, Wanda (Carolyn Taylor) and Wilma (Lauren McGibbon), want it so they can seize ultimate power. Willa and her best friends Scout (Ava Augustin) and Lucy (Daphne Hoskins) turn into cats to escape them, and the series follows their attempts to stay one step ahead while keeping their secret from the grownups around them. Her father Neil Ward (Michael Teigen) and the mysterious Ms. Juniper (Zibby Allen) add household and neighborhood texture. Each episode is a light, self-contained romp built around a new scrape with magic, a new potion or spell gone sideways, and the everyday friction of being a kid. The tone is breezy, playful and gently spooky rather than frightening, with a lot of warm friendship at its heart. Its nine short episodes of roughly twenty-five minutes each make it an easy family watch. Fans of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Worst Witch will find a similar mix of young witchcraft and cozy mischief.
