## Synopsis

Space Goofs (1997-2006) is a French animated science fiction comedy series created by Philippe Traversat and Jean-Yves Raimbaud, produced by Studio Xilam and broadcast on France 3. Five peculiar monsters from a distant galaxy crash land on Earth and hide in the attic of an empty house, knowing that government discovery would mean becoming laboratory experiments. Their engine is simple and comic: the house is up for rent, so each new tenant must be driven away before they are noticed. Across two seasons of short episodes, the aliens improvise increasingly silly schemes while discovering that the strange earthlings around them are even more bizarre than the world they left behind. The tone is light, playful and childlike, with gentle absurdist humor and a warm sense of misfits sticking together. Fans of Invader Zim, Lilo and Stitch and Futurama will find a similar blend of oddball outsiders and cartoon sci-fi silliness, suited to young viewers and families looking for a breezy, easygoing watch.
