## Synopsis

The Five Juanas (2021) is a Mexican Netflix mystery drama series created by Jimena Romero and produced by Lemon Studios. Five women who share the same birthmark, played by Zuria Vega as Juana Manny, Renata Notni as Juana Valentina, Oka Giner as Juana Caridad, Juanita Arias as Juana Matilde and Sofía Engberg as Juana Bautista, set out to unravel the truth about their pasts. Their investigation pulls them toward Federico Marroquín (Iván Amozurrutia), a powerful politician whose carefully maintained web of lies has shaped each of their lives. The engine of the show is the slow accumulation of clues, reluctant alliances and buried family histories, with each episode peeling back another layer of deception. Told across a single season of eighteen episodes, it moves between the women's present-day struggles and the fragmented memories that connect them. The tone is tense and melancholic, a mix of conspiracy thriller and emotional drama in which loyalty and betrayal sit side by side. Fans of Money Heist, Big Little Lies and Las Muñecas de la Mafia will find resonance in its layered secrets, female ensemble and Latin American noir atmosphere.
