## Synopsis

Family Secrets (Yargı) (2021-2024) is a Turkish legal drama and telenovela created by Sema Ergenekon for Kanal D. Ceylin Erguvan (Pınar Deniz) is a fierce, rule-bending defence attorney whose father was wrongly imprisoned, so for her justice always comes before the law. Ilgaz Kaya (Kaan Urgancıoğlu) is a by-the-book prosecutor who believes the two are the same thing. When his brother Metin Kaya (Hüseyin Avni Danyal) is accused of murder, Ilgaz has no choice but to seek Ceylin's help. The engine of the show is this uneasy alliance between opposing lawyers, with each case becoming a cat-and-mouse contest in courtrooms and the family rivalries surrounding them. The series runs three seasons across 95 episodes, told as one continuing story in which the central legal battle and the personal entanglements grow tighter over time. Set in present-day Turkey, it unfolds in a contemporary urban setting. The mood is intense and emotionally charged, with the tension of courtroom gambits balanced by a slow-burning romantic pull and loyalties strained by blood. Fans of Suits and The Night Of will find resonance in its rivalry-driven legal storytelling, while admirers of Kara Sevda will recognise its melodramatic heart.
