## Synopsis

Acapulco (2021-2025) is an American comedy drama series created by Austin Winsberg, Jason Shuman and Eduardo Cisneros for Apple TV. Eugenio Derbez stars as Maximo Gallardo, a hopeful young man who lands the job of a lifetime at Las Colinas, Acapulco's hottest resort, in 1984. Alongside him, Raphael Alejandro plays Hugo, Camila Perez plays Julia, Chord Overstreet plays Chad, and Vanessa Bauche plays Nora, each entangled in the resort's shifting power struggles and romances. The engine of the show is Maximo's effort to make his dream work while the glamorous, chaotic property pulls him deeper into its demands, from staff politics to guests and business schemes. Across four seasons of ten episodes each, the story moves forward as one continuing arc rather than standalone cases. Set in 1980s Acapulco, the series gleams with pastel-bright resort styling, pop-era music and sun-soaked warmth. Its tone is witty and sincerely touching, and it openly pays homage to the Latin telenovela tradition, giving it a sudsy, heartfelt register. Fans of Ted Lasso, Jane the Virgin and Mad Men will find resonance in its blend of comedy, ambition and period nostalgia.
