## Synopsis

Ten Year Old Tom (2021-2023) is a US adult animated comedy series created by Steve Dildarian for HBO Max. Steve Dildarian voices the title character Tom, an ordinary kid whose days are steered by well-meaning but deeply questionable grownups, including his mom voiced by Edi Patterson and the principal played by Todd Glass. Byron Bowers voices Nelson, Tom's friend, while John Malkovich appears as the eccentric Mr. B and Gillian Jacobs voices Dakota. Each brief episode, roughly twelve minutes long, follows a small embarrassing misadventure in which Tom tries to do the right thing and the advice he receives makes everything worse. The show runs across two seasons and forty episodes in a single continuous adult animated style, built from awkward school moments, bus rides and social blunders. Its tone is deadpan, cringe-tinged and absurd, with a sharp edge that treats childhood embarrassment with the seriousness of adult anxiety. Fans of Bojack Horseman, Big Mouth and Undone will find resonance in its crude humor, its loose animation and its affection for characters who mean well and still fumble badly.
